A universal experience women share is the jumpscare of a passing reflection.
We attempt to put on the cutest outfit, plan an entire afternoon out with our girls. We tried on our entire wardrobe, twisting and posing in the mirror to look at every angle. Spent extra time on our hair and makeup.
Only to walk past our own reflection in some warped window of a restaurant we were going to try out, but now you’d rather go home and hide under your blankets. Never to be seen by society again.
Even though we KNOW that window could not possibly truly reflect our actual appearance, we very quickly have the monster thoughts break into our brains, shredding our confidence.
Thoughts like “who let me leave the house looking like this?”
“Is that really what I look like when I walk?
“Am I blind to the way I look on a daily basis?”
Though I too have shared in this universal experience, I am going to be your voice of reason.
If there’s one thing boudoir has taught me, it’s that our brains LIE to us. All it takes is for one seed of self doubt, one thought of questioning our self worth and our entire self image can be destroyed in a matter of seconds. Take captive your thoughts.
To put it quite simply, respectfully tell your brain to shut up.

Every Size, Every Shape
We put so much pressure on ourselves to look a certain way. We harshly critique our bodies to look a certain way in clothes, to be a specific weight. We squeeze into clothes that genuinely don’t feel comfortable, wear shoes that pinch, and hold onto clothes three sizes too small as “motivation.”
If you take a moment to pause and observe those around you, regular people out and about, people outside of modeling and magazines, people just living normal everyday lives, I think your standard of beauty will change.
What you see on the covers of magazines and thirst traps on tik tok are not accurate depictions of reality.
Neither are the warped glass windows downtown.
If you’re stuck on where to even begin to help teach your brain to be kinder to your body, or to reframe your thinking of self worth, or to boost your confidence, boudoir is a perfect place to start.
I think a common misconception is that booking a boudoir session is the reward for hitting goals like practicing self love for a certain amount of time, or hitting a certain weight.
Boudoir can actually be the starting point
It is not something you have to wait to book until you’ve lost twenty pounds, or gave up sugar for a few months, or until you have a certain amount of confidence.
It can be a good foundation for confidence building.
Boudoir is an art. Art can be messy and beautiful.
Art is made to pull at our heart strings and speak to us.
What if your body is the type that other women see in the photos and that’s what makes them take the leap of booking a session for themselves? It spoke to them and made them feel represented and seen.
It’s like a butterfly effect. One woman decides to appreciate her body exactly as it is, in this season of life. And now we have a whole wave of women seeing themselves as art through a lens and reclaiming their self worth.
And it all started with you.
Every body shape and size looks stunning, especially behind a lens.
Lighting and posing go a long way.
Stop waiting for your idea of perfection, you ARE the standard already.
You Get To Decide What “Sexy” Means
No, boudoir isn’t just the dark lights, pinned up hair and bold lips.
Those are some stunning elements of course, but it’s all up to your vibe, your idea of sexy, and the story you’re trying to tell.
For the recently divorced woman, she might be wanting to show the cheater what he’s missing out on. The darker tones and bold lips send a clear message.
For the cozy bookish girl just hoping for some cuddly looking photos, her favorite book with a cardigan by a window will do the trick.
Whatever story you’re hoping to tell, I am so here for it.
Maybe you’re just trying to know yourself better and you are not sure what style, or type of clothes will make you feel sexy and confident.
I am well versed in bodies by now. I can help you choose something to complement your features and make you stand out in the photos.
If all else fails, even just a t-shirt and ruffled hair can be magic to work with!
Don’t know how to pose? I do!
Booking a boudoir session can feel daunting for MANY reasons, then to top it all off you might be worried about looking awkward in photos.
Luckily for you, posing is included.
I’m not gonna leave you hanging.
Posing is a common fear everyone who comes into my studio faces.
I will direct you every step of the way.
The exact angle your chin needs to tilt, where to lay your fingers, what to do with your mouth.
Because I’m the one behind the camera, I can catch the most flattering poses and details. Every part of your body that I adjust is intentional and strategic. Not a strand of hair will be out of place.

You Don’t Need To Walk In With Confidence, You Leave With It
Don’t let the nervousness stop you this time.
When we feel nervous on the first day of a new job, sometimes we mess up because we just can’t get our brains to slow down or our hands to stop staking.
Singing on stage or giving a presentation often comes with fumbled words and deep breaths.
On a first date maybe we pushed a pull door.
We showed up extra early to an event just to give the impression of being put together and confident when really we just needed some time to yell and sing to our hype song in the car first.
All of these things ask something of you: performance.
We fear what will happen if we mess up a job, will people laugh if we botch a song on stage, will our date think we’re dumb.
Your boudoir session is NOTHING like that. I am like a personal life coach through the entire process. There’s no space for you to make a mistake. You don’t have to have everything figured out, because I already do.
I am not asking for you to get your hands to stop shaking before your session, or show up one hundred percent ready with your A-game, because that’s an unrealistic expectation.
You just need to show up as you are. And when you leave you’ll have no residual thoughts about what’s going to happen or if you did a good job.
You’ll see the photos and you’ll know.
It isn’t about performance here or what you have to offer. It’s simply about you showing up for yourself and appreciating your body in this season of life.
You’ve laid the foundation for confidence building.
You will always look back at this experience and remember how you looked, how you felt, and know that you can do many brave things because you started with one small step: showing up for yourself.
Choosing not to care about what society thinks a beautiful body should be, hyping yourself up when you feel others won’t. Owning your style and letting parts of yourself show through in a way you haven’t in a long time.
Ready To See The True Version Of Yourself?
Nothing is warped here. There’s no second guessing your choice of outfit or hair style.
There is no wondering about what other people are thinking about you.
There is no worry about looking awkward or lost.
It’s just you exactly as you would be without the stress of the world around you. The version of yourself that feels sexy without trying too hard, the one that doesn’t feel pressured to have everything figured out or to look a certain way.
Step into my studio, right behind my lens. You are worthy of being noticed and appreciated. You are the standard of beauty.
